If you checked my other post, you'll notice that I post about my experience to Murrey, Pakistan where I hold and experienced snow for the first time in my life. Here's my story..
I met my husband when I was in my 2nd year studying in Uni. We've known each other for 1 week and we straightly got married.
And Nope! I'm not kidding. We were totally strangers, we dunno each other and we indeed got married in only 1 week. How??? Istikharah :) I got my answer when I perform my 1st istikharah the next day after he proposed me and of course my family thought i'm out of my mind, but Alhamdulillah, we manage to "bribe" them and here i am. Married with one son.
First difficulties we encounter is managing the documents. oh btw, my husband is from Pakistan and hes not jual-jual karpet mcm yg korang slalu nampak eh 😒, kalau jual karpet pun apa masalahnya? penting rezeki halal and bahagia kan? it just our mentality towards this people make it looks like it is a shame to marry those people. walhal dorang manusia jugakk. ok ok enough blabbering. continue..
I dont really remember what document was needed because.... mann😕😅😉.. its been 4 years now. But I'll leave this link here for your references. Just a little warning here, if you decide to marry a foreigner, you'll definitely facing 'drama' in managing the documents especially in immigration. So be patient, take a deep breath whenever you come to immigration ok?
MasyAllah, even before I married to him, he's been stable in terms of financial and other basic necessities such as house, car, etc. So after married, we have been living together until today, In Shaa Allah till jannah😌🙏.
2nd difficulties...jeng! jengg! jengggg!!
nothing much actually, but we have disagreement in terms of Mazhab as i am following syafi'e and hes Hanafi. For Hanafi, touching hand wouldn't break the wudhu but opposite to Syafi'e. We end up refer to Alim and sheikh regarding this matter and some other few matter. but anyways, now all is settle.
as for Food! Gurlll,, they are full of spices lol. He cant live without his origin food, thus hes cooking it himself. and obviously he taught me 😶. As for me, I am more into simple and healthy food like salad and egg or nasi bujang. Alhamdulillah now I know few recipe of their basic food like Chicken Karahi, pulof rice, and their version of veg. His favourite malay food so far are Rendang, Nasi goreng USA and maggie goreng. he's not really much accepting our local food. especially the plain nasi with lauk unless if he really hungry then yes.
My husband is from Peshawar, a place which have strong culture. I mean, they have strong culture when it come to woman and man. well, they are muslim country anyway. I'm not sure about other regions though if they have similar strong culture, like karachi, islamabad, lahore etc. I guess they do. How strong their culture is?? let me tell you. We malaysian greet our guests non-according to gender right? does't matter stranger or family, we will greet them all kan? but not for them. if there's a non-mahram guy come for visit, the woman will be in the room till the guests is out. basically they dont mix in terms of gender. they are very islamic which I like.
I never see his friends nor his friends ever see me lol. I am just a typical woman before married with normal hijab, but after married to him, I have to wear niqab/burqa which I don't mind. His reason?
" you are too pretty to be seen by others and I wont them to see you "
cough! coughh!! uhhukk uhukkweeeek! sorry. I vomit a little.
Anyways, people are different, Alhamdulillah I am happy to have him and he stated that hes very very much happy to have me too. waaah! hahah. ok serious talk, we are happy with each other, with our marriage Alhamdulillah, if I'm not happy, I wouldn't share this with you guys, I wouldn't have kid with him. Pray that our marriage will last forever till Jannah. Ameeeeeeen.
so! is it fun to be married with foreigner?? best ke?
If you love interracial culture, adventure in immigration XD, loose person, then I would say yes. Loose person I mean here is you are not strict, able to adapt to new things and kinda flexible.
I am enjoying my marriage because I love learning new languages, English is our main communication language although he can speak malay not fluently and my English is still have flaws although I've spoke it for 4 years😅. I love trying new foods, discover new places and culture etc.
Little tips if you want to settle down with foreigner.
1. check his/her background carefully, deeply and properly
2. get in contact with his/her family
3. know what he/she likes and dislike
4. what type of person he/she is when angry
alright. I guess thats all. till next time.
